Tip #1: Gratitude
Every morning or evening spend 5 minutes to go through in your mind all the things you are thankful for. As you think of something reflect on why you are thankful as well. By the end of the 5 minutes you’ll realise how life ain’t that bad and hopefully you’ll be smiling again.
Tip #2: Laugh
Watch some comedy, be it live, a movie or dvd. We prefer the live or movie theater option as you get to laugh with others as well. You may even get one of those people in the audience with a contagious laugh to get you going. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and produces a general sense of well-being. Research has also shown laughter to increase the body’s immune system.
Tip #3: It’s a state of mind
It’s a state of mind - Not everything we do we enjoy, however if you can first take time to discover what you could learn from the task, or how it could benefit you or others, you can be happier in performing it. Depending on the task you could even look to make a game out of it. Bringing play into your work will not only increase your happiness but also your productivity.
